Alexis James, MS, LMHC

Alexis is a licensed mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience in psychotherapy. She’s skilled in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and solution-focused approaches. Alexis is passionate about helping clients reach their goals and enhance their mental well-being. She provides a warm, supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions to create meaningful change.

Alexis has extensive experience supporting diverse populations and is dedicated to offering mental health support to marginalized communities. She is particularly committed to serving individuals who identify as BIPOC. Alexis values the importance of destigmatizing mental health within these communities and works tirelessly to create a safe and inclusive environment. She believes that everyone deserves access to compassionate and culturally competent care, and she actively works to break down barriers to mental health services. Her people-first approach ensures that every client feels seen, heard, and valued. Alexis customizes practical resources for each individual, ensuring they can be implemented easily and effectively. 

In addition to her clinical work, Alexis is passionate about making a meaningful impact by mentoring and guiding the new class of clinicians. She believes in the importance of nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals to ensure they are well-equipped to provide compassionate and effective care.
